Meet Deran, owner and mini-split enthusiast
Deran has been a successful leader and operator across different consumer oriented businesses for the last 20 years. She has also worked as an investor in the goods and services businesses. When she renovated her home in Long Island in 2020, she realized how complex and frustrating the HVAC process can be. She saw an opportunity to bring more consumer centricity into this field, focusing on mini-splits, which she chose for her home as the best solution for her family's comfort, wallet and the environment.

Before starting Housitive in Long Island, Deran spent a year studying the energy consumption betters of different homes and systems, including mini-splits, which made her an even bigger enthusiast of these systems.

Deran estimates 15M homes in the US can save >$500  by switching to a heat pump

Our Mission At Housitive
We are bringing our years of experience with mini-split heat pumps from Central New York to Long Island. Properly installed and maintained mini-splits are an efficient heating solution for most Long Island homes. In homes that still use oil, propane, or electric baseboards, switching to mini-splits can significantly reduce heating costs. And whatever your heating fuel, switching to mini-splits will reduce your carbon emissions.

With the average summer temperatures rising in the area, the need for air conditioning is also increasing. If cooling is your goal, mini-splits are a great choice. They provide quiet, efficient cooling, even in homes with no existing ductwork; you’ll also have the option to use them for backup or supplemental heating. We believe that, going forward, every air conditioner installed should have heat pump capabilities.
At Housitive, we seek to serve our communities by providing the best mini-split installations and the best customer experience. We’re committed to raising the bar for quality and efficiency and to creating a smooth, transparent process from first contact to completed project. We believe that mini-splits are a great choice for our homes, our communities, and our environment–and we want you to be as excited about them as we are, so we can together accelerate our transition away from fossil fuels.
